The Haunted Bookshop is a great place to go because whenever you walk in, you are not going to be bombarded by those who work there. They let you look around and do your own thing which makes it a much more comfortable experience that you will want to repeat over and over again.
I like the variety and wide array of books that I can find at a Barnes and Noble, but those places have a rigid and conformity-complex feel to them. Haunted Bookshop (still don't know why it's called that) gives you that home-style feeling. You don't feel overwhelmed by everything, but you don't feel that you're being short changed by what they have to offer. It's a perfect medium, and I would be willing to refer a friend to go there and look around any time.
